Volunteer
Volunteer roles vary and so do the time commitments. As you gain experience in rescue, more opportunities may open up for you. Please see the volunteer needs below to better understand how you can help.
JOIN OUR CORE TEAM
We’re currently looking for the following Core Volunteers to join our dedicated team:
– Adoption Coordinators
– Foster Coordinators
– A Medical Coordinator
These volunteer roles require an approximately 10 hour / week commitment and an individual who lives in the Greater Toronto Area.

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES
Transport (18+)
Transport is a critical volunteer role at TEAM. We have to move dogs and supplies around the GTA. Our transport volunteers donate their time and use of their personal vehicle to make sure our dogs have rides to their foster homes, plus food and toys when they arrive.
Home Visits (18+)
Our top priority is the welfare of our dogs. Before placing a dog in a foster or adoptive home we send a volunteer to complete a home check and make sure it is a safe and secure environment.
Reference Checks
Part of our foster and adoption application processes involves checking three personal references and a vet reference. Volunteers can do reference checks from anywhere (by phone) to help our animals end up in the best possible homes.
Events
Events raise funds and awareness for dogs in our care. We have a variety of events each year to support TEAM. If you are enthusiastic and a “people person” (but also a dog person, of course), helping with events may be the volunteer position for you.
Fostering
All TEAM dogs are placed in loving foster homes, which is why we don’t have a need for dog walkers. If you are interested in working hands-on with dogs, fostering is your best bet.
Fostering requires a separate application process. Learn more about fostering here.
