Application Form – Medical Coordinator

Every dog that comes into our rescue is assessed for every symptom, big and small, when they seek medical care with our veterinarian partners. Medical Coordinators help coordinate routine check-ups and ensure every dog is medically ready for the adoptive home and help guide our dedicated fosters through any medical challenge they might face. This individual would be eager to learn, has a basic knowledge of dog behaviors, and has strong communication skills. They are detail oriented, able to work in a fast paced environment, and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities include:
➡️Communicating with Adoption Coordinators and fosters regarding medical needs of assigned dogs
➡️Answering any questions from Adoption coordinators and fosters about dogs
➡️Setting up vet appointments directly with our veterinarian clinics
➡️Speaking with vets about next steps for dogs plans of care
➡️Approving referrals to specialist vets
➡️Maintaining accurate records by entering medical records in our internal CRM.

BONUS: Must be good with medical health terminology for canines, background in reading blood chemistry, radiographs, understanding CT/MRI reports an asset.
