This handsome Zeus was found tied to a local shelter with the note that says “Zeus needs a new home”! To be abandoned in the prime of your life is indeed beyond sad. However, the shelter staff soon recognized that this loving boy was special and the shelter environment wasn’t a place for him to find his utopia. The constant traffic and barking was stressing Zeus, however, once he joined his foster mom, he has relaxed and become the dog that the astute staff knew he was capable of being. Zeus gets along with other dogs with careful introductions and is a gem in the home. He is not destructive nor loud. Zeus is somewhat skittish and can be vocal when hearing loud noises for the first time. He is being fostered in a very busy downtown location and would benefit living in a calm quieter area, although he is adapting well. Thus far he prefers the company of women, but does slowly warm up to the men he has met. Indoors, Zeus is very low energy but does appreciate a few long walks throughout the day.
Zeus is very affectionate and loves to snuggle with his foster mom and has become her shadow. However Zeus now needs his own family and because he is so adaptable, his options are many:
A retired couple who want a constant companion and a snuggle buddy for those movie nights.
A family with calm older children who would appreciate a pup to accompany them on all their adventures.
An active couple who want a camping and hiking buddy and a warm body to curl up with in the evening.
Zeus is the true “Renaissance Dog” who can go from a mud crawl in the morning to a Black Tie event in the evening.
All he craves is the love that his new people can offer him-and they will get well rewarded with his unwavering devotion and cuddles.
