Meet our newest dog from Bahrain, Norah.
Norah recently arrived from the Kingdom of Bahrain, a ten month old Saluki cross, who needs a family with another dog to gain confidence as she continues to adapt to her new life in Canada.
Norah is doing extremely well in her house training as she has only known the privilege of living indoors for a short time. She was living in a community with three other dogs (two of whom arrived to Canada to both TEAM and another local rescue in 2018). Local residents complained at the same time as others ensured they were well fed, so the municipality sent out the local dog collector, who upon capturing Norah, reached out to our rescue angel in Bahrain, who paid him a fee to turn Norah into a veterinary clinic in lieu of dumping her in an construction zone with no fresh water nor resources for survival!
Now what Norah needs moving forward as our newest Canadian citizen:
-a confident owner who knows how to guide her to be the sweet girl she has inside her without any reactions to other females nor occasional house accidents
-a confident older dog for mentoring and adapting to city life as well as indoor living, as well as a great playmate.
-Norah is very affectionate but on her own terms so she needs a family willing to allow her this space and time to seek this out.
-Norah bonds quickly, as witnessed with her foster mom five days after her arrival.
Norah has such potential and will make the best second pup for those looking to add to their pack! She would do well with children, any age except toddlers, as her exuberance might well knock them over. This gentle girl is so very adaptable and has a bright future indeed.
