Despite the fact that Max didn’t have a great beginning, he is a well-adjusted loving boy. Removed from his previous home that likely wasn’t treating him as well as he should be treated, Max spent several months in a shelter. While some of the other pups were being scooped up, Max was being overlooked, likely due to the fact that he has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and will require surgery on his hips some time in the future. You’d never know it as he has boundless energy, loves to play and go for his walks. Max instantly fell in love with his foster family including his 4-legged foster brothers and sisters and is so happy to be out of the shelter setting. He can mouth a little at times but this is easily corrected by bringing his attention to a favourite toy. We are testing him without medication but he may require meds at some point to keep him comfortable prior to his needing surgery. At 2 years old this guy has a whole life ahead of him and deserves a chance to spend it with a loving family to call his own.
