Maggie is a senior only if you look at the calendar. This nine year old is up to everything you can offer her.
What is your wish list for your new canine companion?
Likely Maggie will fill them all-she excels at the following:
-dog park play for hours
-loves other dogs
-enjoys the company of cats
-walks very well on a leash
-excellent with kids
Our beautiful Maggie will do well in many different home situations. Although she has recently shown signs of separation anxiety, her astute foster mom recognized it immediately and has implemented a few positive techniques to help prevent further escalation, and is showing signs of success.
Maggie so enjoys the dog park, playing for over an hour with dogs twice her size and weight. She eagerly embraces new situations, new people and loves going for car rides. Incredibly affectionate, at days end, she just wants to snuggle up on the sofa or bed, eventually finding a cooler spot to spend the rest of the night.
Maggie was surrendered to a shelter in Montreal, suffering from perianal fistulas. However, these were successfully treated, thus avoiding surgery and is currently on a topical cream, with decreasing frequency of application, likely only needing occasional application in the coming months.
Maggie is such a sweet girl and would do best in a home with people home more than not, but who lead an active lifestyle and would enjoy the pleasure of her company. She attaches herself very quickly and is a very sweet and gentle girl. If you have dog who is missing a companion, then look no further, Maggie would love to meet you.
