60 days ago, Leo was found as a stray. He is 14 years old. And nobody came looking for him. We were asked to take him knowing his medical care would come at a steep cost as his initial medical assessment at the shelter was grim, he was very underweight, he had missing patches of fur. amongst other issues.
Leo joined us with a heart murmur, we ensured he had a visit with a cardiologist, and confirmed his heart murmur is mild, his blood pressure is good, he will not require meds. Leo’s mouth was riddled with infection, and a horrid odor due to the decay and had 15 diseased teeth removed.
Has defied the odds and is infact good shape for a dog his age
It has been 60 days since Leo went unclaimed as a stray, he has gained weight, his fur has grown in, and his medical needs now tended to, he is now ready for a family of his very own. Leo is a tiny little shih tzu, who needs someone to wrap him up in compassion and love, just like his foster mom pictured here, Gail, does every single day. Thank you Gail, for playing such an instrumental role in nurturing Leo back to health.
He is a good boy, who is so deserving, and he is now ready.
Please contact Leo’s adoption coordinator, Gurleen, at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to offer Leo his retirement home.
